Chief among
Julie’s challenges has been conquering worry. Her worrying began
in an abusive childhood. She says, "I grew up worrying about just
about everything. My refuge was the refrigerator." Her habitual childhood
state of apprehension, a lifetime of weight gain, and looming health problems
all added up, making her a chronic worrywart.
Julie says, “I
have spent the past 20 years learning practical ways to turn my panic
to praise and worry to worship. I am really excited to have the opportunity
to share these things with readers."
Julie Morris has
been teaching Bible studies for over 20 years. Her former positions include
RN supervisor, coronary intensive care nurse, Spanish teacher, and secretary
at the Pentagon. She holds degrees from East Carolina University in Education
and Lamar University in Nursing. Morris is the mother of two grown children
and has been married for 38 years to her college sweetheart. She lives
in Birmingham, Alabama, where she divides her time between enjoying her
family, presenting seminars and retreats, serving as a lay counselor and
working on her next book.
